Biography

I specialize in audit, assurance, and technical accounting matters involving U.S. GAAP, IFRS, SEC reporting, PCAOB auditing standards, AICPA GAAS, SSARS engagements, and firm quality-management requirements. I have experience performing and supervising audits under both U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting frameworks, including complex accounting, disclosure, and audit documentation matters.

My technical accounting focus includes revenue recognition, fair value measurement under ASC 820 and IFRS 13, Level 3 valuations, derivatives, debt and equity instruments, complex financing arrangements, stock-based compensation, business combinations, consolidation and variable interest entity analysis, investment company accounting, inventory, related-party transactions, going concern, contingencies, and SPAC or de-SPAC transactions. I also assist with technical accounting research, preparation and review of technical accounting memos, financial statement presentation, disclosure analysis, and documentation of accounting conclusions.

My audit and assurance experience includes public-company and private-company audits, PCAOB audit support, engagement quality review, inspection readiness, internal control over financial reporting, fraud-risk procedures, journal-entry testing, peer-review response, PCAOB and CPAB inspection response, and audit quality remediation.

Industry experience includes investment companies and private funds, cannabis, oil and gas, renewable energy and solar, healthcare, technology and emerging-growth companies, real estate and construction, manufacturing and distribution, professional services, nonprofit organizations, and SEC registrants. I also have experience with California nonprofit audit requirements, contribution and grant revenue, complex estimates, valuation-driven audit areas, inventory-intensive businesses, and companies with multinational or cross-border reporting considerations.

I am particularly suited for matters requiring partner-level audit judgment, GAAP or IFRS technical analysis, technical memo support, public-company audit experience, inspection or peer-review defensibility, and practical resolution of complex audit or reporting issues.
